Laney improves to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference, placing themselves in 1st place. Kirby Kealon brought in 15 points, Rob Peterson chipped in with 9 points, Cj Kirchoff added 12 points, connecting on four 3-pointers. Lastly freshman Robert Wilkerson added a career high 11 points, while reserve sophomore Jordan John connected on four 3-pointers as well.

Congrats to the Laney Bucs as they improve to 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. The Bucs were led by Junior Kirby Kealon with 18 points and Tariq lane with 16 points. The Bucs will face Topsail next in their 3rd conference game in as many outings.

Alumni Weekend

Our 2nd Annual Alumni weekend took place this weekend. After a good win by our current varsity team the alumni was treated to a morning breakfast and the alumni game. It was great having the alumni come in tour our locker room and lace back up the Jordans for a fun filled competitive game. We look forward to next year's alumni weekend.

Another close one in Buc Town but the young Laney Varsity Bucs found a way to prevail in its conference home opener to begin conference play at 1-0.  Big game for Bert Rivenbark coming off the bench to score 10pts and pull down 7 rebounds.  Another solid game for juniors Tariq Lane and Kirby Kealon as Kealon iced the game on the free throw line going 6 for 6 down the stretch in the 4th quarter.  Sophmore CJ Kirchoff chipped in 10 points including 2 big 3 point baskets as the Bucs were making their run. 

The Bucs are back in action Friday night Dec 13 vs South Brunswick in Michael Jordan Gymnasium.
The Baby Bucs JV team improves to 6-0 with its win over West Brunswick on the road.  Congrats to both teams.

Laney basketball saw its second game in as many nights go into overtime. This time, it was on the road vs East Columbus. Tariq Lane had his 2nd consecutive game with 18 pts to lead the Bucs with Kirby Kealon adding 12 pts & Jordan John coming off the bench with 9 pts, 3 3-pointers. The Bucs are back in action for its 3rd game in 5 days Friday Dec 6 at Michael Jordan Gymnasium.

Laney was behind 20 pts from Kirby Kealon, 19 pts from CJ Kirchoff, and 18 pts from Tariq Lane, but Laney was able to pull out a nice win at home Tuesday Night. The Bucs trailed at halftime and rallied in the 3rd quarter to lead going into the 4th. Robert Wilkerson gave  the Bucs a 1 point lead just before end of regulation. Pender tied it at the free throw line sending them into overtime where Kirby Kealon hit game-deciding 3 pointer.

Next game for the Bucs will be on the road at East Columbus today, Dec 4th.
